Wendy's new babysitter.

Mr Smith revealed a month ago that Labour Leader (Unelect) Wendy Alexander MSP used to be George Galloway MP's babysitter.

Well now the press has reported that Wendy's 'better half,' 60-year-old Brian Ashcroft is to retire from his role as Director of Scotland's leading economic think tank, the Fraser of Allander Institute, to look after the couple's twin children.

A very "new" thing to do which Mr Smith applauds Mr Ashcroft for, but there is now speculation as to whether the Fraser of Allander Institute can survive the departure of its leader of ten years which might be less welcome news to the Institutes' staff who might find themselves on the dole. Mr Ashcroft's departure also follows recent disclosures that he apparently backed independence for Scotland which Mr Smith assumes is totally unrelated to his decision to retire.
